What is a swish?

In short it's a clothes swap. A great way of refreshing your wardrobe without having to spend.

How to Swish

  • We recommend bringing up to 6 items of good quality clothing (i.e. no tears, stains or broken bits - something you'd be proud to give to a fellow swisher).
  • Drop off starts at 10am and finishes about 10.45. During this time you will be invited to relax with some light refreshments.
  • This is a family friendly event; there will be a play area for children but please supervise them whilst using it.
  • Just after 11am the swish will officially open and you will be able to view, try on and take away up to 6 items of clothing (please bring a reusable bag to carry items). No money is exchanged.
  • Once everyone has swished, there will be an opportunity to get more items for a donation (all proceeds to the Air Ambulance).
  • The event finishes when everyone has swapped as much as they want. Note: You may leave with fewer or more items than you arrived with. Any left over clothes will go to a local charity shop.

As this is our first event we're asking that you bring items of clothing and accessories, from birth through to adult. All sizes and styles but bear in mind we're heading into Spring/Summer (hopefully!) and people will be looking to update that wardrobe.

Venue: Ruskington Methodist Church.
